Been a while since I had time to fool with truck but the last thing I did after having stalling and bad idle problems on a new rebuild was to replace iac. So, here is where I am at, after replacing with new ACDelco IAC , it starts, idles real high for a while, then finally settles down, runs pretty good, I don't have tag ins. and tag yet so have'nt been able to take it out for a drive. BUT, after it runs for a while and I drive it around yard and driveway it is doing fine, then after it sits for a day it doesn't want to start and dies if it does start and I get a check engine for MAP sensor . Now, if I take IAC out and push pintle back in like it came out of box, it will go through the whole high idle , settle down and run fine routine , no check engine light . So what is problem? Is something not resetting, does it just need driving? Oh, I have about 4 ground straps ran making whole loop from firewall, block, frame. That was my first thought. Thanks everyone

IDK if this has been tried - if not, it might help:
