1986 K30 Custom. 454 (.30 over), TH400, Dana 60, 14 bolt. 80,000 original miles on truck. Truck was a maintenance and grounds truck at Mount Vernon until the late 90’s, then purchased by my coworker when he worked for the estate, the truck then became a a farm truck and received a motor rebuild 1999-2000ish. I picked up the truck for free when my coworker was cleaning up his farm, I helped him with some work and he gave me the truck, clean title and all, I saved the truck from the salvage yard. I’ve wanted a square body for a long time, especially a ton truck. I’ve had the truck since the summer of 2019 and haven’t really done a whole lot to it yet (full time college student) mostly research, kinda hard when you have 3 project cars. Truck needs a new seat, dash pad, wiring, rockers (rusted out), doors, some rust patches in places, drivers side floor pan, new suspension parts, steering column, brake job, tailgate, weather stripping, gas tanks, fuel lines/system, carb, egr or smog delete, and then all of the other little things that I’m sure I have forgotten that will nickel and dime me to death. Goal for the truck is to get it mechanically sound and look sorta decent. It's a truck and i'm going to use it as such. No need for it to be a show queen, especially being a 4x4 ton truck.
