That's for the previous body style. I read somewhere it's unknown if it will work in a square body. I just came across this http://www.precisionfabricationplus.com/duramax-diesel-engine-conversion.html.
Not sure if the Duramax pedal is the same.

I'm in contact with them. I sent them a template of my pedal. At least the part that mounts to the floor matches. If anything, I can always tweak it a bit by drilling other holes in it. And they are a lot cheaper than the link I put in above, $25 compared to $50.

Fired it up on the test stand. Word to the wise, if you've never started an engine on a stand with no exhaust, get a damn switch to control the starter. I was shaking for 5 minutes after I started it with a screwdriver LOL. The first time I tried, I didn't have constant 12V to the PCM, so I almost didn't expect it to start after fixing that. Scared the day lights outta me lol.

Anyway, the wiring seems to be good. Back to the Fuel Filler line configuration. Swear I shoulda bought another vehicle so I could rip this thing apart and get it over with. Sucks it being my daily driver.

I purposely didn't tell my wife I was going to start it up. Got what I wanted out of it. She came running and said WT* was that!!!

Thanks again for the info. I sent them my pedal last week. It's the same mount as their duramax setup. It's on the way back with the mount. Robert with them said it bolted right up. $43 including shipping. He did say in the near future they'll be switching over to stainless so the price will go up a bit.

I've seen a few of those drive by wire conversion. Kinda looks funny but I guess I could get used to it to have an LS.

Reluctor Ring $6 at Rockauto as compared to most kits that start @ $90 and want you to drill into the trans case.

anyone know the gap tolerance between the VSS sensor and the reluctor wheel? On the net I'm seeing 0.05" and another one saying 0.009-0.013".

the closest I can get right now is 0.035".

.035 seems a bit extreme.

turns out I've been using a feeler gauge wrong all my life. They are supposed to pull out fairly easy...35 was tight. I always assumed if your trying to be that precise, it had to be harder to pull them out. I'll check it again today.

Anyway, anyone ever pull/install engine/trans/T-case all at once? The only time I've ever done it was when me and the owner pulled this 5.3 combo out of the Silverado. Safe enough for the engine/trans/T-case? Probably going to be a one man show just like last time I swapped out the engine.

Heading out shortly to Harbor Freight to get a load leveler. May tackle it this week pending whats going on at work Monday.

Sorry for the quality.

If you've ever raced on the internet you'll like this. Back in the day I built a projector for my racing cockpit. Good school project if you have kids.

Well the engine is in the truck. Man was that trans crossmember a bitch. I could only get one sides screws in, the other side would be too far out. Ended up using the weight of the trans/TC and putting a bolt in between the cross member and the frame.

Anyway, started wiring today. I forgot to cut a hole for the pedal connector prior to installing the engine. I'm glad I did now. I took the old throttle cable and cut the cable from the insert that goes into the firewall. Then I drilled it out large enough the 6 de-pinned wires through it one at a time.

The harness looked great outside of the vehicle. I've got to reroute the whole umbilical I was planning on laying behind the engine. Man this thing is close to the firewall!
