not sure but I just got under truck for first time & I think the transmission is missing lower cover of caseing.

Yep, flywheel cove is missing very common, people don't like putting them on I guess, lol.

Just a piece of tin contoured to cover. Has a couple screws that hold it in place. Keeps rocks and debris from flying up and breaking teeth off of the flex plate.

You can also find a cheap abs plasic one on ebay that will do the trick. it's a little cheaper.
