Alright so I hit a deer in my truck and now my bumper has huge holes in it from the lights that were in it, well I went to the junkyard and found a perfect 70s crew cab bumper straight as can be and I was wondering if the brackets and bumper widths were the same or close enough to put the 70s bumper on my 80s truck, thank you

I believe you'd only need the 70's bumper brackets. Not sure if they changed the mounting location between the frames or not.

The shape of the frame horns are different between the two models. That will also need to be addressed.

The frame horns are indeed different, but it does bolt up and fit with some minor shimming on the two lower bolts. The outer brackets need a section cut off or use the 70's brackets.

The frame horns a a little different you can mount the 70s bumper on the 80s horns. But it just looks wrong, it sticks way out and the mounting angle is wrong. Just eyeballing it the two top middle mounts look the same but swapping the 70s top in made the difference it looks right now It sits a little low and still sticks out a little further than what I'd like. But other than that the outer top brackets from the 70s bumper hit the spring mounts and will need modification but. I managed to leave all the bottom brackets at the junkyard somehow but I'm just gonna start from scratch and make all new brackets but as of right now the truck looks pretty good thanks to that deer
