I bought some 3-way 6x9s. Mounted them on the rear side panels. I cut the holes over the exsisting ash trays. My kids dont smoke so i figured they wouldnt miss them. I have 6x9s in the front doors and two 12 inch subs in the back. All i need to do now is connect the wires and give them a sound test. I also have a dvd player that eventually will get installed.

LoL.... Yeah just one. It does get a little loud and the bass feels like it will pound the windows out. Go big or go home...In the priority box there's a DVD system that's going I next after replacing some weather seals on the top and doors...

Yeah they are covered in carpet. I think its called panel board. It's like a wood/ cardboard looking board. Pretty sturdy. My ONE amp does a very good job of pushing the subs. You'd have to listen to believe me. I was exaggerating with the "go big or go home" comment.

Here are my panels in the K5. They will eventually come back out to due the floor. Any ideas on what i should lay down? Been debating on bedliner from the seats back. But want some sound deadening also. I also put in some wall insulation and it did make things less quite from outside... got the idea from 8t6k5 and his rig

Lol is that the Pink Panther stuff?
Owens Corning?

My first thought is Dynamat or similar for the floor.

Yes it is, 2x4 wall insulation. It actually helped with the outside noise. I had my doubts but for $18 i figured why not give it a try. I was planning on lining from the backseat back and carpet up front.
