If it's the solenoid just take it apart and rotate the stationary disc 180* and flip the disc over and you have a new solenoid good for another 20yrs, lol..

That was my exact plan. Budget too tight to not save a bit. Back together for now.

Anytime I come across a junk starter I grab the solenoid and do that and stick em on the shelf for later use, in fact the one in my truck now is on it's second life going on 3yrs now, lol..

Had to replace the starter anyway, started to stick when hot. Also found the source of the front exhaust leak. Passenger side exhaust manifold is from a 94 van and does not use the stock gasket when mating to the pipe. Used a graphite gasket material to make one. Appears to seal ok. Started to notice missfire and found two more accel plug wires falling apart. Installed ac delco professional wires and rapid fire spark plugs. The wire lengths from premade wires actually matched within an inch or so of the accell cut to fit wires. Ordered new fuel pump as existing is feeling tires(slow to pump up to pressure) but not installed yet. Also moved the music from the wagon for a day.

Was at offroad park and the fuel pump started diying due to intermittent starvation. Was weak at level as well. Went ahead and replaced it. Biggest pain was setting the tank back up as the bolts are two short to get it back unless everything is perfect. tmp_20067-IMG_20171113_2117211614562209.jpg
