4" Lift with 35" Tires

Hello,
My 1984 Chevrolet K20 currently has a 4" Lift and 35" Toyo AT tires. It has quite a bit a clearance between the fenders and the wheels. I currently has 17" Pacer rims on it- not sure of the offset. My question is can 37" tires fit under here without major problems? Or 36" tires? The Toyo AT actually measure 34.3" tall.

depends on offset, rim width, tire width, actual tire height, and a few other things probably be best to measure

look at is this way, a 37 is only 2 inches bigger then the 35 that's 1 inch all the way around. A 36 would be 1/2 all around. If you've got enough clearance now then it should work IF you use the exact same wheels you have now and don't get a wider tire. I would try to flex/bind it to make the tires as close as possible to various things and see how much clearance you actually have. Also if push comes to shove I'd think you could buy add a leafs or the zero rate blocks that bolt to the spring packs to give you another inch or so of lift to help clear if you went bigger and had issues.

Thats a good idea. I was only thinking along the lines of the 37" tire because there is not many choices for a 36" tire anymore. The 35" tires appear to come in around 34-34.5.

Was curious if you have put a new set of tires on your truck yet. I'm debating between 4 and 6 inches of lift, because I'm aiming for 37s too. I have a K20 Suburban

6" at least.. 4" with 35's rubbed quite a bit on my truck... and she's a lightweight k10.

mine had no motor or trans and had 35 12.50's on it with only 4 inch, and they were on 12 inch wide wheels and it looked close to rubbing at full lock, flat ground no flex and again no engine or trans.

If you don't care to cut/trim the back fender lip some, or to buy cut out flares(cutting the same thing out with them) then running something moderate like a 8-10 inch wide wheel or something without a huge lip on the outside you may be ok with a 4.

Bad thing is like most going with a 4 inch kit usually leaves you wanting more, same for a 6 lol.

shame you aren't close I have my 4 inch stuff front leafs need bushings and no raised steering arm, been trying to sell on fb, no luck

According to rough country website, 37x12.50s are the recommended tires for my specific truck using their 6" lift. Right now it has a worn out 3" lift of some sort and it's clearing 33s nicely. Just trying to get as many opinions as I can before jumping in...thanks for input.

Here's my K5 from the early 90's. 6" Skyjacker soft ride, all springs. I had 16.5"x 9.75" rims with 4.75 to 5" of back spacing. The tires were Cepek Fun Country Radials. 15/36R16.5's. With the cut out flares it never rubbed.
