Wondering about getting a stroker kit but my only consern is the balancing. The kit i found is already pre balanced but its externally balanced with a flex plate in the kit, I have a manual flywheel but found this bracket on ebay as a counter weight

I'd look for an internally balanced set up or take what you got or get to a machine shop and have it balanced. Mallory Isn't cheap but the best way IMHO.

Internal is the way to go, but if you're on a budget that plate works good, I used one on a 468 for a few years and buzzed it 7500+ with no problems..

Make sure you check the clearance on the pan rails and lower cyl bores. Probably need a small base circle cam too.
