Yeah, that looks like the one. I thought it was a weatherpack connector though.

I had the wrong wire. This one had a white stripe found the one with the black stripe set the timing and its back in business.

Another question I have is will it hurt anything if I have the egr gone and nothing done in the computer?

Nope. You will just get a code (55 IIRC) on occasion. Usually at speeds faster than 55 mph and while coasting (foot off the brake) or very lightly on the throttle for a certain distance.
