1997 5.7L Vortec into a 1984 K10 chassis

I have two trucks on 97 GMC ext. Cab with a 5.7L vortec auto I also have a 84 K10 with a 5.7L Ci and a 3 speed Saginaw the chassis on the 97 is gone but the K10 is solid. The body on the 97 is good but the K10 is gone. The motor in the K10 is dead and the 97 is running strong at 88,000. If I move the whole body over with wiring and computer's in tact, how if at all possible do I go about making the vortec mate up with the Saginaw .

the frame rails are wider on the 97, that means building new mounts either for the body to match the k10 frame or trying to figure out how to use the 97 mounts and build new frame mounts on the k10. If you are willing to do all this work why not swap the 97 engine into the k10 part the body of the 97 and use that cash to buy parts to replace the k10 body?
