Does anyone know the part number for the "tip-in" switch that controls the lock up on the torque converter? It is the vacuum switch that is mounted to the fire wall and plumbed into the carburetor.

AC Delco 212-331 or GM 14032087

It looks to me like all this has been discontinued so if you can’t get one, you’ll have to resort to a more universal, adjustable switch. Also, the vacuum check valve OEM number is 14020691 or AC Delco 214-479. That appears discontinued as well so you’ll have to resort to a universal one way check valve should you need one. If you need a brake switch, those grow on trees.

Are you wanting the Vacuum Lock Up Switch for the converter or tip in switch for the ESC? Where on the firewall is this switch located that you're talking about? Over by the master cylinder, or the other passenger side of the distributor?

Would a 1980 have ESC ?

Given the year, this thread is interesting to me.:)

Thanks!

As a matter of fact NO. That wasn't until 81 with the LE9 305. Just wanted to be sure. I'd never heard the Vac TCC switch called a Tip In switch and wanted to be sure. What most think is the TCC switch on the 81 up, is indeed the Tip In switch for the ESC, NOT the TCC.

I don't think ESC hit until 1981 or there-about but I am not 100 % sure because I never owned anything after 1977 until I got my 85 and of course that is going under the LS knife so all the trash in the dash has got to go....

The switch in question is by the master cylinder.

Yes, that would be the TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) aka Lock up Vac Switch.
