I know the conversion from manual to power steering is pretty straight forward. Change out gear box add pump, brackets, and hoses. Th400 down shift solenoid
Swapped a th400 from an 87 Suburban t.b.i. into a 79. I sold the t.b.i. system and bought a carb. My question is now that the solenoid isnt going to downshift the trans off of the relay and e.c.m. , how do I go about wiring it up to allow the trans to downshift?- burb1085

Members with 454 th400 10 bolt short wheel base trucks.
Curious to know what driveshaft length you've used. Have a 454 th400 10 bolt swb 2wd . The engine and trans were swapped in a 79 C10 truck that originally had 350/th350 combo.
