    Hat sections for bed attachment

I realize this is an old thread but a few of the supports I scrounged up for my bed rebuild had a piece of rolled sheet metal as a spacer tacked inside the channel to support it. Without them I foresee the support buckling when torqued down. I cut and tacked in some black pipe to replace the...

    Square in Peril

JEB Little Creek. In the enlisted bachelors’ parking lot. I saw someone unlock and open the doors to put something in it a few weeks ago but it was late and didn’t want to bother him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Square in Peril

Does anybody recognize this Suburban? In the barracks parking lot on JEB Little Creek in Virginia Beach, VA. It had a parking violation sticker in it and was set to be towed on the 5th. Truck is still here. Hasn’t moved in the 9 months I have been stationed here. It has plates on it.

    85 chevy k 1500 bed replacement

Long or short bed, stepside or fleetside. Need more details. I'd say slim chance of getting a modern bed on there without a lot of modification, less the body lines being totally different and it being really expensive

    doing my own body work?

I used youtube to align my doors after I replaced the door hinge pins. I just used washers to bush the top and bottoms of the doors in or out. HF has dent pullers if you have one around you.

    1 piece floor pan?

I've only noticed that there were half pans on lmc. I purchased them and they go from about two inches up the hump(this is a high-hump cab) and they go to the inner footwell, so they have a half inch lip towards the outside of the panel near the doors. Just curious, what is your reason for...

If you have a couple weeks to wait i suggest ordering the free catalogue from lmc b/c i find it a lot easier to use than the website. Then just search specific serial numbers on the website to order. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    84 5 speed?

Is it not a stock rear end? I have an '84 4 sp. that has low, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Low gear has no use on the road except maybe towing or in traffic.

Choke light on after carb swap

Does anyone know where the electric choke wire runs to? In these past few days, the choke does not really want to kick down automatically. It is a new electronic choke and when i jump it, it works, but sometimes the wire feeding it does not have power with the ignition on.

Choke light on after carb swap

Does it go off when the wire is unplugged? This happened to me and the choke didn't seem to be grounded. I took it off and applied plenty of dielectric grease on the connections to be sure that everything is connected and it worked.
