just added flip kit and truck rides rough in the rear, Help!

You have 5 springs in addition to the main spring on a 2wd 1/2 ton (and a lowered one at that)? Jeez yeah, there's your problem. Back in the day someone was trying to use that longbed as an actual truck (that was the point of longbed pickups, and basically all trucks back then) so they...

    Pulling all the smog stuff

There is 1/5 of the world's population jammed into some emerging 2nd world country, of course their air sucks. Yes I don't want to abide because it inconveniences my life slightly. Team? What does that word mean? Is it the same thing as "me and my immediate family"? Otherwise, I couldn't...

    Venture a guess…

Maybe I missed something too? I'm not familiar with that term. Watch, I'm gonna feel stupid when I see it spelled out.

    Pulling all the smog stuff

I know that I live in a very unpopulated area. Your whole argument proves my point further. I actually know EXACTLY what population density does to a whole lot of things, that's why I chose to go out of my way and move all the way up here. Why in the world would any human being WANT to live...

    Pulling all the smog stuff

 :manos: Says the guy from NEW YORK! lmao. NH is very strict about stuff compared to VT. All of the friends and family I have in VT consider NH to be "yuppie" and too built up. Unless you're in the Burlington area (which basically shouldn't be part of VT anyway, it's like Vermont's...

    Pulling all the smog stuff

Oh god no don't do that. All that plastic and wiring, you'll mess your engine bay up even more! If you want your engine bay to look clean, well part of a proper looking engine bay is having the right engine in there. Please don't join the LS camp, they don't make these trucks anymore let's...

    It's still worth it!

That's what's left of him now.

gas gauge goes back an forth when im moving.

it bounces and floats around, but once you're sitting still or just cruising steadily on flat ground it will give an accurate reading. Not the best system for a split second glance, but if you know your truck well enough you will know how much fuel you have. Only ever bothered me a few times...

    87 R1500 Quad Headlight Question

On my '87 Suburban, or the '87 GMC longbed Sierra I previously owned, only the lower bulbs were on when the hi-beams were activated. My '84 K5 was the same way but if we're talking '87s, I've personally had two of them that did not light all four bulbs on HI. I always wanted to change it, just...

    87 R1500 Quad Headlight Question

Sometime over the last 36-37 years someone could have rigged it so all 4 stay on when Hi-beams are on. It's pretty common. I always planned to do that to every square I've owned (all have been quad lamps) but just never got around to it. I wouldn't be worried about it, no downside really just...

    Sea Foam

Even when I run WAYYY too heavy of a mixture (we're talking like half a can in the gas tank of an 8hp briggs and stratton), the thing bogs down and chugs, but then runs GREAT afterwards, cleans it right out. I've never seen any damage done from the stuff, not even sure how it could damage anything?

    Sea Foam

I use seafoam in everything I own. I have had a few 350TBIs over the years, and I used it in them too. Good stuff

    Write up: Gas Tank Relocation

I can certainly take a look in the morning if that helps you. But it's also a different wheelbase, my truck was designed for the 40 gal tank so idk it might look JUST like yours and just not be an issue, no promises. Hah, I'll check it out and snap a pic if it looks useful

    Write up: Gas Tank Relocation

I mean, without having personally done this conversion, I can't imagine it's a problem. The bracket is darn close to the axle, the tank obviously doesn't press up against the axle or anything, it would rub through and make the whole thing a no-go. If we're talking a half inch or so of...

    Got a Dodge squarebody!

Hah I've had those things going damn near 100 several times. They're better than you give them credit for, never had an issue

    Got a Dodge squarebody!

That's the EW part... Drive it how it sits and just shine it up some, lift it a couple inches and do a slightly larger tire at most. Don't ruin the poor thing, it's too nice...

    Got a Dodge squarebody!

I was SOOO close to buying a car trailer until Covid screwed up the supply chain and I waited too long because I figured they weren't going anywhere. By the time the 24 week waiting period was up (or however ridiculously long it was) and they finally called me, I had changed my mind. Even if I...

Where can I get an OEM thermostat for a 1974 Chevy C10 with a 454?

When I was younger I always used to pick the coldest Tstat I could find. In my mind, it would open sooner so the engine wouldn't have the chance to get as hot, therefore running cooler overall and making more power/more reliable. Probably false, but I never saw a downside either. Sitting in...

    Looking where to buy axels

sigh. I know not everyone is the best at spelling things, but someone literally laid it out there in plain sight, and yet no changes were made going forward. Some folks can't learn... lol

    Saddle tank delete with carburation

I'm not intimately familiar with the shape of the underside of an M37 cab. What prevents the use of saddle tanks, the body still mounts above the frame, right? Are there things sticking down under it or something? If there's a reason then there's a reason, I'm not saying I know more about it...

    Saddle tank delete with carburation

They already exist and hold fuel just fine. Is there some reason to get rid of them? Swapping is just more work and expense for no real gain.

    Why not? Make room.

Keep Manual shift for the LS or swap in an auto?

6l90 is quite a bit stronger than a 6l80/4l80, that was kind of the point of that transmission. But, if it's gonna see 90% road driving and with 37s I'm assuming not a lot of towing, I don't see any advantage of an automatic. You said it yourself, you like going through the gears. If you were...

Nothing happens when turning key. Better results when in neutral. Tried changing the Neutral Safety Switch

Sorry I don't know much about GMT800s. A 2002 Silverado is a little outside my wheelhouse. There are several forums dedicated to those trucks specifically, sorry it just seems like you're at least 11 years too new for this place lol. You could say "a truck is a truck" but by 2002 they had...

    Anybody know where these go

What exactly are you trying to figure out? I see your jack, your heater box, and some wires and stuff. If you want to know about specific wires or hoses, please point to/circle them in the pictures, or at the very least describe what we're looking at here. The pictures don't even look like...
