    It still shifts early. I did just have a new rear end installed. I went with 3.73 gears from 260's. Is there something I need to change with the trans?

    Thanks for the reply. It is a th350 for sure. The cable only pulls about 1.5 inches. Im sure its hooked up and moving the valve. I had to pull the pan and replaced the little wire with the hooks on the ends. Ill try to take more slack out of it. If I get it any tighter it will shorten the pedal.

    Ok, I have the kickdown cable all hooked up and ajusted. I cant tell any diffence. When I stomp it running 50 it doesnt downshift. Im not sure whats going on. My carb I think is a P.O.S... I am getting a new one in a few days. Going to see if that hepls.

    Well, I got the kickdown cable hooked up. Thanks for the help. I took a test drive and down see a difference with it hooked up at all.

    Ok. thanks, I am wondering . I dont see the hook sticking out of the trans. Would moving to gear shifter bring it out any?

    there is nothing in the holw were the wire was. No hook. Just my luck. I got a new cable and put in the hole so I wont leak trans fluid. What do you think?

    on this holley power valve, What size do I need. I have a built 350 with a good size cam. This is a truck I am driving on the street and at the drag strip. I dont care about gas milage. I just want power I have a Holley 750 with vacuum sec. not a double pumper

    I have a 1982 C10. It has a built 350. I want to upgrade the distributor system. The one on it now does not have a vacuum advance. There is tons that are for a sbc but what should I get? Also, I am kinda new to the older motors, Whats up with the vacuum advance? do I need one with it? Thanks guys

    The rear end that was in my truck was not the original one. It is not as wide as the new one. It had spacers to make it even with the front.

    Do they make a u joint that has different sized lobes ? That would be my best bet. Also, What about just getting a junk yard drive shaft from a newer truck? Would that work?
