    I live in northern Alberta and can promise the aluminum spectra heater core I put in my 85 k10 will toast me out at -30°C.     Taking out heater core

    The biggest problem I had was finding all the screws that hold the heater box together. There were a few hidden under foam seals. Sent from my SM-G870W using Tapatalk

    1986 K10 Bed removal

    I just had to pull the box off my 85. On the ones that spun i just used a pair of vice grips on the shank of the bolt. One of them i had to put 2 pairs onto but it held enough to get the nuts off.

    aluminum vs copper/brass heater core?

    I replaced my original one with an aluminum one a couple months ago, and now it throws way more heat than it ever did.

    what heater core will work.

    i just replaced mine a couple days ago. It was a spectra from NAPA and it fit perfectly. Just keep in mind there is a difference in heater cores in trucks with A/C and trucks without. The trucks with A/C use a bigger core.

    700r4 output seal

    Heater core problems.

    I just bought an 85 k10 a couple weeks ago. When i tried to use the defroster my window fogged up even worse and wouldn't clear. It got to the point that i had drops of water running on the inside of the window and i had to use a rag to clear it off enough to see. I am pretty sure it is a leak...
