    Registering as Antique/Classic in Texas

I have a 1957 BelAir and a 1979 K10. Both are registered as normal vehicles. I chose to not register them as antiques as a vehicle that is registered as an antique has restricted driving. You are not suppose to drive it anywhere except to/from a car show, getting it serviced, and road trips...

    Buying an RV

On that old of an RV make sure you fully check it out, but most important is the roof and seams. If it has had any water leakage that was not taken care of then you will have major repairs that would not be worth doing. As 74propu stated you should try to check it in the rain, climb on the...

When I build a flat tappet cam engine I use Lucas Break in oil http://lucasoil.com/products/engine-oil-additives/engine-break-in-oil-additive-tb-zinc-plus and Valvoline VR1 http://www.valvoline.com/products/consumer-products/motor-oil/20w-50/6 for the break in period, then I switch to just VR1

Tow bar and trailer hitch receiver

Thanks for the links. The one at Northern Tools will work for a Class II hitch, which would be good for 2 of my trailers. I wonder how it works with no drilling or welding as it states ?? I have purchased stuff from etrailer.com before and just had not thought of looking there. I like the...

Tow bar and trailer hitch receiver

I have a 1979 K10 that I would like to tow behind our motor home. I have been using Roadmaster Tow bars for our other toads but they say they do not have one for the 79 K10, but they do have one for the 79 C10. Apparently the brackets they made for the C10 do not fit the K10. So, looking for...

    Anybody using LED tail lights

Relays are NOT needed as the power drain is much lower for LEDS. You can swap just the blubs but if changing signal light blubs to LEDs you will also need to replace the flasher unit since the original flasher unit works off the amps draw of the bulbs... i.e. it is like a relay that heats up...

85 Pulls to Right Brake Overhaul

It could be as simple as adjusting the right rear brake. As for braking like a modern vehicle, that can be done. Just replace the rear braking system with disk brakes and a new dual disk type master cylinder.
