    Heater core to firewall bolt/nut?

What is this bolt/nut/clip called and where could I find a new one? As the title says, it's the bolt that holds the heater core to the firewall. It's a 1989 r3500 with a/c (doubt that matters tho). I broke one when removing it and would like to replace it. I know I could go searching in a...

    Tailgate protector options?

So would different truck brand/model tailgate pieces fit? Are they all roughly the same size/length for full size trucks? If so, I may just go high up the junkyards around here and make one fit mine. Not too many squares left in the yards around here unfortunately...

    Tailgate protector options?

Wondering if anyone has installed a plastic tailgate protector like this one but for our trucks? Where did you get it from? Or does anyone have any better ideas on what to use to protect the tailgate when down and being used?

Check Engine light not lighting up

Definitely much smoother now. Been driving around with pride now, instead of trying to feather the throttle sheepishly everywhere I go lol. This is my first big block so I don't have anything to compare it to besides my 79 4x4 400 sbc, and I know its no racecar, but wish it had a little more...

Check Engine light not lighting up

Just a follow up again... Got it fixed !!! Turns out, the previous owner must have done something with the spark plug wires because cylinder #3 and 5 were switched!?! I replaced the wires a few weeks ago, but when I do them, I switch them one at a time so I don't have this happen... but I...

Check Engine light not lighting up

Just to catch everyone up with this thread: Got the gauges all working, and changed the fuel pump last weekend. Runs MUCH better now with the fuel pressure up to normal, but still has a mild stumble at low rpms under load that I'm chasing down. Blocked off the egr to see how it ran plugged...

Check Engine light not lighting up

Replaced fuel filter last weekend. No change. Also ran some seafoam thru the intake. Gonna hopefully change the o2 sensor tmrw and will change the plugs and wires whenever they come in (love/hate relationship with rockauto... The prices make the wait worth it... Plus the magnets...) Any...

Check Engine light not lighting up

Well I put in some new led dash bulbs and the SES light started working?! I don't know why, maybe just due to the fact that it had been sitting of a while... don't really care as long as nothings gonna mess up later...haha Stuck a paper clip in it and its throwing a Code 44 error - 02 sensor...

Check Engine light not lighting up

Fuses are all good. I forgot to say that I checked that before making this thread. Still no luck with the CEL but found out I've got a buddy with a obd1 scanner so I'm gonna use it at some point. Pulled the distributor cap and the coil wire nipples were corroded some so I cleaned them up...

Check Engine light not lighting up

SES still didn't come in with the ECM unhooked. The wire going from the SES light bulb to the ECM looked fine . Still don't know what's going on with it...

Check Engine light not lighting up

Isn't it supposed to light up for a few seconds when you first turn the key on? Mine doesn't even do that.

Check Engine light not lighting up

1989 crew cab dually So I'm trying to get the ALDL to work so I can find out why my new truck is stumbling, but my Check Engine light isn't working. I tried putting a new bulb in and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions on what I need to check or test? I don't see any breaks in the printed...

    Steel 8 bolt Wheel Vintiques?

I'm also using mid 90's C/K series truck beauty rings and center caps. Had to cut a hole in the front center caps for the hub to go thru. And I'm using the 2000's chevy truck center cap lug nut covers since they're a little longer. The 90s ones barely caught the exterior lug threads.

    Steel 8 bolt Wheel Vintiques?

I just recently finished my wheels. I had some 16x7 ford 8 lug rims powder coated black. I went with them because they're a dime a dozen and I had some laying around. They are also half an inch wider than the gm ones. But the other thing is that they have a better offset to make them stick out...

Wanted: Western rust free 87-91 Crew cab SRW 2wd

Wow thanks guys. I hadn't looked at searchtempest for a while since they redid it. I've been searching craigslist the old fashioned way and it was taking way too long and not getting as far as some of these listings. I've seen a few of those and am still looking. I was just wondering if...

Got my new rim/tires for the old girl

That's what I was going for. This was a 6 lug truck but I decided to just do 8 lug axles since the rear had blown twice...gov-bomb. I like the rally wheels but obviously can't do them in 8 lug. Actually, I was thinking about putting those 90s Dodge 8 lug rims on that kind of also look like rally...

Wanted: Western rust free 87-91 Crew cab SRW 2wd

Hey guys, Well I'm finally at a point where I'm ready to pull the trigger on purchasing a 87 or newer CC. Looking for a running, fuel injected, SRW, 2wd. Doesn't have to be perfect (how many are?...) but must be rust free and drive-able. So that means probably something from AZ or CA but...

Got my new rim/tires for the old girl

Just a little Friday wheel porn for you guys. Just got the new wheels on the other day. They're used 285/75/16 tires on f*rd steel rims I had powder coated black. Put beauty rings on them and have three chrome 90's center caps (still need to find one more then cut a hole in the front ones for...

    My TH350 Rebuild

Well, it's been awhile... figured I'd give a little update. I finally got the tranny and tcase back in and everything buttoned back up over the last few weekends and... everything shifted/performed like its supposed to! So far, at least. Was able to take it on it's first real drive back...

    t350/np203 tranny mount torque specs?

Anyone know what the specs are for the tranny mount bolts that go into the tranny/tcase adapter? I've heard ~40 ft/lbs but would like to verify. I couldn't find it in the service manual in the Tech section. Thanks
