Did i just fry my 700r4?

Long story short i just put a winters aluminum intake and holley 4150 in my c20. My TV cable was too short to let the throttle go to wide open, and since the truck isnt on the road i figured itd be okay to disconnect it as long as i wasnt going on the road with it. I must have been wrong because...

So if it's a 400 it should have one of those two numbers behind the head?

So my 82 c20 has a small block. I was told it was a 350 but when I look up the number on the pad behind the alternator it says it's a 400. Code is V08 TTC... which is it??

Finally got a hold of a good 4x4 one ton SRW frame, so it was time to dig out the c20 to start harvesting the body and preparing for a body swap. Took a lot of shoveling and getting it stuck, but I got er out! Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Yea i was looking at it this morning and realised that literally every single bolt on the front end would need to be torched off and replaced and how much stuff needed to be done that i'd be way ahead by scrapping the idea

Well, plans changed again, Came across this GMC 3/4 Ton 4X4 on kijiji tonight owned by a local body shop. Comes with a plow that i'd take off but it has a lift already installed and its actually in pretty good shape. Went and looked at it tonight but going back to look in the day time soon...

Here's my new plan. I've noticed that the engine in this truck leaked so much oil that everything on the frame up front isnt even rusted at all. Still had original paint after I scraped the crud off it. I'm going to take the C20 frame and chop the front end off and weld the front end from the...

    84/82 K20 Build Thread

Shifting topics now, I have an opportunity to pick up a cheap 6bt cummins and was thinking of throwing it in this truck. Thinking it would be a good idea as i probobly wouldnt be able to afford to feed the 350 in it after everything ive done to it.

Ended up with the top and sides of the C channel sanded. Got the frame up on stands with the wheels off as well. That pile of dirt by the broom? That's not dirt. Its rust that fell off the frame while beating on it with the chipper
