    I replaced the filter before the pump and cleaned the filter between the pump and carb( one of the glass universal ones with the filter that can be cleaned), also the filter in the carb (usually paper this one is metal and re-usable). Then installed the 5th fuel pump. So far its running fine...

    Pump turned out to be a Delphi brand. Swapped it for a new one. I changed the filters and sending unit after I put the previous pump on. The engine in it is supposedly a 305 H.O., truck came factory with a 350. I can't remember if I gave the parts store info on a 305 or 350.

    Nope the bolt patterns aren't the same... so I am going to need both front and rear driveshafts. I know the front one out of the donor truck will work but I'm not sure about the rear. It's a 78 3/4 ton long bed with a two piece shaft. Suburban could have had this setup from the factory so there...

    So I undertaking a 4 speed swap on my burb.. my question is What drive shafts do I need? The original trans is a 400 auto new one is a sm465 with the iron t-case. There is about a 10 inch difference between the two, the 4 speed being the shorter of the 2.. HELP!

    Brush Guard / Push Bar

    I got lucky.. it was already on the suburban when I bought it. It looked pretty rough, almost all the paint had been replaced by rust.. thankfully it cleaned up nice with a wire wheel and some paint.
