Anyone used the old ash tray for something (else) that's interesting?

While working on the dash this weekend I had some ideas for what to use the ash tray space for. Maybe tuck aux fuse panels in there or weld it up and smooth it out (delete it). Anyone use it for something else? Lots of space there.

Pulled the ARB cooler off the storage shelf in the garage...

Years ago I got one of them cool refrigerated kinds. used it a lot back then but not so much lately. About 9pm i thought it would be fun to take it to the up coming youth football tournament to keep things cold all day so i pulled it down to dusted it off. Looked inside and, much to my...

    Murdered out? Too common now?

I've been considering paint schemes for my '74 LWB with 6" lift and 35's and I keep coming back to what the kids call "Murdered Out" (all satin or flat black). To do it right the truck would lose all of its chrome and get tinted windows. I'm kinda more of a deep wet paint kind of guy but the...

    Hard Fuel lines...damn hard

So I'm rolling along on my project, have the rear tank (saddle tank relo) in, and today I was going to knockout the fuel lines. Tube work for me is easy and I've done a lot of it and to set this up correctly, I've done a mess of tube work like full cages, tube chassis, exhausts, etc and I'm...

Windstar fan - plug and wiring questions

I got my windstar fan in the mail yesterday (running it on my '74 LWB BBC radiator) and the plugs came today. Looks nice and the measurements work perfectly on my radiator. Like a knucklehead I ordered two of the three wire plugs for it. When I pulled it out of the box, I found out that...

Any reason why I shouldn't run a carb hat on EFI?

I've got a 74 LWB I've been working on for a hand full of years. Amongst the upgrades is a 9:1 454 with an RV cam. I'm mid swap on the next round of upgrades (saddle tanks to rear tank conversion, FAST EFI, new fuel lines, 4L80E, NP241 with SYE, bla, bla). Anyway, on one of my parts gathering...
