    454 Headers

I went to change the slave cylinder but the new one won't fix because the exhuast is in the way. Obviously my old one bent a little to fix. So I'm thinking if i get headers will that give me more room. Anyone run into this before? It's a 454 swapped in so the room is tight with the stock...

Newer back seat for my 86K5

Yes there's a lot of wires under the seat. I've noticed most of them are to the motors to move the seats. But one main plug. I should get a picture of the bottoms. I also will probably needs to buy switches because the switches were in the door from the donor.

Newer back seat for my 86K5

I found some with the belts built in to them. The drivers side cushion is torn. My plan is to upholster them to match the back seats. They are power and heated. Paid $100 for both. I'd like to think i scored.

    Clutch Fluid Reservoir Rubber

In replacing the slave cylinder I was filling the reservoir and noticed the rubber looking top hat. Now I don't remember how it goes in. Also how much fluid goes in with that rubber in there. Please school me on this. Thanks

Newer back seat for my 86K5

Its been pretty hard finding matching front seats. Lots of greys and cloth but not a whole lot of beige or light tan color ones. When I've got a lead on some they are gone quicker than you know it. Anyone know where I would have better luck. I've tempted to just buy some seats with power and...

    Seat Compatibility

So pull a new line from the battery and make it it's own circuit with the breaker for the power seats and heater. Sounds like a better option and probably safer.

    Seat Compatibility

Okay guys i got a lead on some front buckets out of a 07 suburban. Wanting to mount them in my 86 K5. From what I've read this is possible correct? Just going to have to drill new holes and wire in the power? Its that power that I'm a little worried about. Will it be fine just getting it from...

6x9s on side panels of K5

Yes it is, 2x4 wall insulation. It actually helped with the outside noise. I had my doubts but for $18 i figured why not give it a try. I was planning on lining from the backseat back and carpet up front.

6x9s on side panels of K5

Here are my panels in the K5. They will eventually come back out to due the floor. Any ideas on what i should lay down? Been debating on bedliner from the seats back. But want some sound deadening also. I also put in some wall insulation and it did make things less quite from outside... got the...

6x9s on side panels of K5

Yeah they are covered in carpet. I think its called panel board. It's like a wood/ cardboard looking board. Pretty sturdy. My ONE amp does a very good job of pushing the subs. You'd have to listen to believe me. I was exaggerating with the "go big or go home" comment.

6x9s on side panels of K5

LoL.... Yeah just one. It does get a little loud and the bass feels like it will pound the windows out. Go big or go home...In the priority box there's a DVD system that's going I next after replacing some weather seals on the top and doors...

6x9s on side panels of K5

I bought some 3-way 6x9s. Mounted them on the rear side panels. I cut the holes over the exsisting ash trays. My kids dont smoke so i figured they wouldnt miss them. I have 6x9s in the front doors and two 12 inch subs in the back. All i need to do now is connect the wires and give them a sound...

Newer back seat for my 86K5

Well I got the seat installed. I sat back in it too. There's plenty of leg room send head room for me. So my kids will have more than enough. I got angle iron and welded round bar where the seat hooks in. I then bolted the front into the original bolt holes for the old one. The back I drilled 4...

Newer back seat for my 86K5

Yeah didn't think of room for adults. I'll have to jump back there to check. I'm 6'1 so that'll be a good test. My kids are excited. I feel good about having lap and shoulder belts for them. Yes really good fit.

Newer back seat for my 86K5

So I finally found a newer suburban third row seat. I got a steal for $100. I was wondering instead of cutting and welding the bottom of the seat, what do you guys think of just welding U-shaped round bar to the floor. Three seperate ones in the rear and two in the front? The seat is basically...
