What have you done to your square lately??
Got back on this and finished the project. Decided it looked better with the edges rounded off. Not an award winning effort by any means, but a place to set my Mountain Dew/Dr Pepper and my phone while driving. Had some interior door panel blue that matched. Works for me ! -

Yessir, and my same exhaust system (350 & 2 1/2" with Magnaflows) sounds much different in my 2 buddies trucks that have LS engines.- PeteJr

My luck with "local" stores is this: Have a guy at NAPA who is a jerk, but I always get along with him if I try to talk NFL football. O'Reilly's had a good guy at my store, then moved him to the other side of Memphrica. AZ (based here) and Advance, forget it. No gray matter for help there...- PeteJr

Bought some "name brand" chassis parts from RA. The parts looked like they had sat in a swamp cooler for a while. All the grease was hard and the parts were rusty. Good price, not so good parts.- PeteJr

Sam, thanks for the comments. I just "wanted" to level it, since most trucks are a little higher in the rear normally. Started with 2 1/2" dropped spindles, new stock front and rear springs. Also, 2" dropped spring hangers in the rear and 2" lower rear shackles. This combination actually raised... -

It was a good few days. Got new tires, an alignment to verify my "precise" front suspension work. Got exhaust system a couple weeks ago. Still gotta do the AC stuff. Drove it to the weekly cruise in last night and got a standing ovation. (No one brought their chairs) Heading to a car show about... -

Where to buy LS motor?
My buddy put an LS in his '65 truck and is building one for his '67 Chevelle he's building. He found a low price complete '06 Yukon with a 5.3 for a great price. Got the engine and transmission, wiring harness and other items. Then he's selling what he didn't use to a wholesaler for the body...- PeteJr

Vent window repair
The rivets in the kit are the same except the one called the "pivot rivet. Yes, there is a tool to flare the end. I rebuilt both of mine. Challenging, but not impossible to do. Great video on how to:- PeteJr

Drove my truck on a public road for the first time in about 18 months. Waiting on hood latch parts, no accessories on wheels, gotta replace tires. ALMOST............ done.
