carpet kit?
I would go with the black carpet. I thows dirt easier, but does not show stains as much. It is much easier to vacuum out dirt than it is to steam clean stains. And nice color scheme by the way, love the black and red look on these trucks. -

All right! I knew I wasn't the only one to use that trick! I can see why you wouldn't do it to an airbag equipped vehicle though, I accidentally set off all the bags in my buddies bmw one time, we were using it for a demo derby, so they had to go anyway, but its no fun if you don't expect it... -

I know the screwdriver is a terrible idea, but I had it work on an old beater yard truck I had for a while. I tapped a small slotted screwdriver in with a rubber mallett so it makes it past the pins, and it started the truck great! I just couldn't remove the screwdriver. Lol. I think the... -

I have in fact tried it, also tried using a small flathead screwdriver to turn it. No luck. Was tempted to put a hammer to the screwdriver and just knock the pins out of the way, but I would rather not have to steal my own truck all the time! -

Power Steering Delete Help?
Ok, this may be a stupid question, but I don't see a clear answer on here, and want to be shure before I shell out the cash. Can I use the 69-78 4wd manual steering box as a direct replacement for my 84 with power steering? I'm pretty sure its an unbolt and re-bolt swap, but want to know what...- bigZ

i have done that to almost every vehicle i have messed with. I do have a bud tap handle i plan to hook to the 4wd shifter, and a wall mount bottle opener for the bed. i was going to put it on the dash, but i dont need any more attention than this truck is already getting here in town from johnny...- bigZ

Hey, thanks. I have owned several classic vehicles, so I am all too well aware of the steering difficulties that come along with manual steering. I was more worried about fitment issues, etc. Thank you guys for the help, I should have some pics up pretty soon.- bigZ

back again Hey all! Thanks for the warm welcome! The ps delete is due to a shot pump, and belt alignment issues I'm sick of dealing with. I shouldn't have any issue with using an older 4wd manual box, correct? I know I can't use the 2wd from 84, but the older ones should work, right? And sorry...- bigZ
