Was just about to post the same question I'm interested to see what everyone thinks I have a 1990 first gen cummins 5.9 ready to drop into my 84 k20 but I'd like to run the 5 speed 4500 if possible. They did, however I could still smell them burning when I started the truck up so i did the on vehicle curing process as well and after 20 minutes it hasn't smelled since and still is holding up great- 84k20

Thanks for the input this is exactly what I'm looking for and I like the idea of a 9 footer.. More 1 pass visits to my driveways that need plowing haha .... Anyone else??? -

Hey guys so I'm thinking about getting a plow for my k20 this winter she's lifted about 6-8 inches front and rear I know ill have to drop down the push plates so that I can plow better but what do u guys run? 8foot blades? 9foot? Fisher? snow dog? Let me know! Thanks -
quadrajet vs edelbrock 1406
I've always had good luck with my eddy 1406 with the electric choke....and it's a 600cfm carb by the way not sure what the quads are- 84k20

What size carb should I run?
The double pumper will usually cause hesitation off idle especially when the secondarys open it usually bogs.... I just had a complete 383 built and had the engine shop test my edlebrock 1406 (600cfm) against a demon 850cfm and holley double pumper 750 he said he was amazed at how the edlebrock...- 84k20

Figured if I was gonna rebuild the thing I might as well make it worth it hahah I wanted some crazy torque so I went big with this one it was expensive but it's totally custom designed for my truck so I'm happy with it- 84k20

The stuff went on pretty nicely but I tried to follow the directions on the can as closely as I could I sprayed about 3 very light coats then went over that a little bit heavier. So I woke up Sunday morning expecting to get the headers on and a couple of the front accessories and pulleys,... Instead I looked at my headers and thought Ew I can't put those things on that new engine so I sanded them down- 84k20

positive wire to gas tank question

When I did my rewire I saved the connector and resoldered the new wire to it ill look around to see if I have any extras if not ill see if I can find one online for ya- 84k20

I believe he is referring to the signal stud on the top of the sending unit attached to the tank. Commonly a red covered wire looking like a baseball cap is plugged into that nipple and ran from the sending unit to the back of the fuel gauge (I believe it is a pink wire)- 84k20
