Colors are mostly for making the chart easier to visually follow the routing, though some factory hoses may be marked with the corresponding colors via a stripe on the hose. You can lift the body with the front clip attached yes. I did it to swap 2 Suburban bodies onto opposite frames. One was a round eye and the other was a mid 80's. At the time I was lucky to have access to the shop at work and used forklifts one on each side to lift them off and I set them down...- 89Suburban
