    I was just wondering the same thing. I've been searching on google for people who have used international or JD tractor motors. Some of them can be built up to have the horse power needed for road use. I'd love to take the turbo diesel out of the IH1086 at work and put it in a square.

    The points id be attaching to the frame would be about 2 inches. 3 at most nothing real long.

    I had an idea to make my own rocksliders for my k20 because i couldnt find any for pick ups and i like the look and it will double as a step. My design i'm thinking of would have them welded to the frame. Is it okay to weld onto the frame? Will it weaken it or am i okay with this?

    That would make sense. It is turned some because of the wedges on the springs

    the drag link should probably be replaced but it aint too too bad. What is the caster? forgive the dumb question but ive never heard that term before

    the leaf springs have wedges on the bottom of them. Will getting the front end alined fix this you think? the only thing up front that aint new is the drag link

    I was just about to ask if it could be the tires out of line. the ball joints are new and so are the tie rod ends i just hadnt had it all alined yet

    So i just finished the truck today and the first time i ran it down the road it had the real bad shakes. I just put a 6 inch lift on it and as of right now do not know what is causing this. The front shaft shouldnt be turning while in 2wd should it? Any suggestions are helpful

    Okay so when i took my bed off i had to cut the bolts because they were so rusty. My question is what grade bolts do i need to get if i need grade 5 or 8 where do i get that high a grade in carriage bolts?

    Lift for stepside?

    BDS sells lifts for 2wd trucks but only newer ones (07-10). personally if you wanted a little height on that id go with the body lift like 89S said.

    Well this is my first time doing something like this but if i feel confident about it i can try and do a tech write up. I'll have to see if i can get my girl to take a bunch of pics while im doing it.
