    I would like to thank everyone for their help in this matter ( well besides Rusty Nail since he only made jokes lol), After many nights trying to figure out the problem and never did , i posted my truck and its sold. It became for of a headache than anything. So now i must find me another one lol

    So got it back from shop they said tried to hook it up to computer and never could get it to sync with truck. They said they don't know why. He found a exhaust manifold leak and tried to tighten it best he could. Leaks seems better. What would be reason computer won't sync to truck?

    A friend of mine with exhaust shop is gonna fix my leak and while he has it there is has a scan machine he said he would hook and see what it shows. He will be doing that this Tuesday

    Ok I will pick up a vaccum gauge and check it. As far a timing my engine is missing the timing metal tab to check the timing for sure. Unless there is another way to check it or reinstall the timing tab

    IT DOES SOUND LIKE IT MAY HAVE AN EXHAUST LEAK AND KINDA SOUNDS LIKE ITS NEAR WHERE THE MANIFOLD MEETS THE EXHAUST

    Are you talking about a computer scanner to watch live data or a vaccum gauge.

    I did a complete rebuild on the Tbi and nothing was stopped up on passages. I will try to put a link to you tube on my truck on a cold start and what it is doing. I will post a link shortly

    YES , ON A COLD START YOU HAVE TO BABY IT UNTIL IT WARMS UP A BIT. THATS WHEN THE SURGING IS UNTIL IT WARM. WHEN ITS WARM , IT IDLES BETTER BUT IDLE IS HIGH. WHEN DO THE IAC RESET I TRIED TO ADJUST THE IDLE SCREW BUT IT WONT IDLE DOWN BUT IT WILL UP
