    Alright so. When I’m at highway speeds there’s blue smoke on deceleration ... and the spark plug keeps getting oily. Valve seals right? Well I replaced them with fresh umbrella seals and it still does it... guides?

    So here’s our problem. When I go to start it after it’s been sitting the fuel can’t be sucked threw the fuel filter, like the pump doesn’t have enough power. So we pressurized the tank to get it to the carb than depressurized and it started and ran just fine. Bad fuel pump?

    Got it to fire when it warmed up outside. Runs good when it warms up. Set the carb back to factory so we will see if it starts in the morning

    V belt. I can find alternator and power steering brackets online. But I’m not sure what pump I should buy

    Okay so I’m caught up on the powersteering/hydro boost. So I cannot use the pump from the 6.2? How do I hook up the lines if I buy a different pump cause they don’t look the same at all...

    What torque converter should I get? What stall speed? It’s a 430 hp 500ft 396. Th400. Not sure the axle gearing.

    It was actually never in a boat. Wrong info. And mine had the external tank too... so my question is how am I gonna mount that pump to the 396/ if I get another one for the 396 how will the hydro boost be hooked up?
