    Replacing bleeder valves

It's almost like the calipers are different. I mean if they have different size bleeder screws that's just weird, but yeah they could be two different brands or something, I don't know. Maybe I should just buy me some new calipers. They aren't that expensive.

    Replacing bleeder valves

I pretty much did gravity bleed because I had the bleeders off and I went through a lot of fluid just letting it gravity bleed. There must be air getting somewhere but it's just too weird that it's opposite sides front and back that are doing it.

    Replacing bleeder valves

Well no it's a completely different size altogether You can see the different sizes that I've got there one size was for the front one size was for the rear and the front I put that larger one on on the driver's side which would mean that the passenger side would get the same size and it's not...

    Replacing bleeder valves

This is more of a "WTF?" I've been having issue with squishy brakes.replaced leaking master cylinder.went to bleed brakes as usual but they're not bleeding properly. Rear driver no matter how much bleeding, still lots air. Rear passenger, straight fluid. Rear are drum. As for the front (disc)...

Adding new battery cables and terminals

I was thinking about just using a regular ring connector, but was worried about any spinning even when tightened. I guess I'll just go this route.

Adding new battery cables and terminals

As of now, I'd just have main power, CB power, and 1 LED bar power. I may add other LED pods/bar later. On that starter terminal, yeah I cant find anywhere that carries it. New starters don't have that terminal need so I guess I'll have to make my own. My main reason on terminals with a few...

Adding new battery cables and terminals

I recently got a new battery and figured since I didn't use the side post style battery truck came with (including side post style connection terminals), I'll need to replace original cables for top mount. Few things. I need new battery terminals but not sure if I should use terminals with a...

    Power Window Harnesses

I'm in need of new PW harnesses. Not sure where to buy them. Mine are toasted. Corrosion. Also might as well find new switch for all doors as they are loose and some need special position just in the right spot, to work.

    Seat Swap?

    Seat Swap?

So my front seats are just hammered. Flat. Ripped. Side metal framing exposed. I need new seats! Now my question is, if I walk into a wrecking yard, what sort of 'newer' truck can I look at that will have some comfortable seats I can put in place of my current seats, preferably without having...

    Wheel bearing exploded!

So now my other side, which never had issue (Rear pass) is now leaking. I'm wondering if I did not press bearing on enough? What is this I see in some videos that people use Permatex near seal to prevent leaks?

    Wheel bearing exploded!

Thanks guys. My concern was not tight enough or too tight and smash my seal and add unwanted pressure to the bearings, causing them to lock up and explode again.

    Wheel bearing exploded!

Anybody else? Want to try and take her for a spin this weekend and not burn up my bearings again

    Wheel bearing exploded!

I thought the same and currently have it at 35lb/ft but the place I bought the bearings from gave me a number of 75-85lb/ft I should mention that my axle shaft is 35 spline and 6 lug

    Wheel bearing exploded!

OK! So I found the Timken bearings and seals. Installed and the only thing I need now is the torque for the 4 bolts that hold the axle shaft in. I did find out what Dana 60 I have. I called West Coast Differential and they had my BOM number that for whatever reason, isn't showing up on any data...

    Wheel bearing exploded!

Okay I'm running into major issues here I need to know if I really have a Dana 60 I know I do but I got somebody telling me I got a Dana 44 which makes no sense because the stamp on my rear end says 60. My other question is am I getting the right bearings for this thing The Originals that came...

    Wheel bearing exploded!

I don't see how. After installing new bearings and seals, I filled up as should be. I drove about 20 miles maybe and all was good. Then drove about another 5 (was getting new tires installed) and that's when it happened. Maybe seal went bad and leaked out more than I thought? But if it's that...

    Wheel bearing exploded!

After taking off cover (did so just in case pieces got into differential) I'd say most fluid was in there

    Wheel bearing exploded!

So few months back I replaced my rear (Dana60) seals and bearings. While driving for less than 50 miles I'd say, I heard a noise and saw smoke and smelled it. At first I thought it was my shoes and had truck towed because it was sounding pretty rough. Last weekend was able to look into it and...

    Rear Brakes Needed

Thanks for all the info guys. My initial idea was to just take off all hardware and take with, but I was also wanting to buy online. Not much a fan of Autozone brakes. But I guess they'll do since I have no idea about the axle. I know the previous owner had a custom driveshaft made to connect to it.

    Rear Brakes Needed

OK so been a while. Got me some new tires about 4 months ago. Took them to a shop to have them put on and as I was driving there, I heard a loud noise and could smell brakes. Got to the shop and the driver side rear was hot and smokey. I knew what happened and why. My bearings went bad as I have...

Hazards not flashing after steering teardown

So I needed to fix my steering yesterday and replace some parts. Put everything back together and all blinkers working as should but when I pull my hazard pin, lights all cone on but don't blink. They were fine before teardown and I know I put it all back together with no extras lol Any ideas...
