    I have a dumb question. Why do I have a step down on my transfer case that doesn't step down anything it is stamped 1:1.000 ratio. Does this thing do anything other than turn the cable 90 degrees? It was loose and leaking oil from the T case, so I pulled it to see if it needed replacing... but...

    Thanks. That's a huge help. Sounds like I will have to deal with a bigger lift if I want HD springs. Good to know about the sway bar. I will give it a shot. That's a lot cheaper than buying a lift kit!
