1978 GMC K25 under grille
The center brace bolts directly to the core support. Looks likes someone forgot to unbolt it before and twisted it up pretty good or something like that. The outer brackets go on the ribs with those two cage nuts, with the nut on the bracket going up to be bolted to the upper filler panel.- legopnuematic

I’m with Eric on this, to me it’s suspect that the clutch gets changed and noise begins. These trucks tend to use a lot of fasteners that are pretty close in length, say 3/8x1” and 3/8x1 1/4” and it can be easy to put one in the wrong place, or replace a bolt with a new one that is “close” in...- legopnuematic

Paint name & code
Through some reverse image searching I was able to find the actual sale listing for that truck, it’s a bit of a hodgepodge. 76 K20 with a 454… 77-80 door panels, 79-80 hood, fuel doors, and the VIN plate has been removed and reattached at some point with regular rivets. C10 lift kit?? 7 inches?!?!
My guess is it will be 7” “leveled” if that makes sense. A stock truck is around 2.5-3” higher in the rear than the front typically. So if you look at lowering setups, it’s generally a 2/4 or a 5/7 drop, this will result in getting the truck level. So in this case going up the front needs to go...- legopnuematic

Yes that is the correct plug for an internally regulated alternator. Externally regulated alternators use a different style plug. I believe that an externally regulated alternator and internally regulated are the same as far as mounting is concerned. So the brackets should work for either...- legopnuematic
