    Idle help needed

    Havent messed with the idle mixture screws much but it was set at the starting point. Totally forgot to hook up the vacuum gauge. Im pretty sure the Idle screw was always touching but i could be wrong. Iv driven it a bit and in park it idles between 500-400rpm and barely drops when put in gear.

    Checked for vacuum leaks yesterday with spraying starting fluid around intake and carb gaskets. Couldnt find any. Has a new balancer and was checked to see if it was right. Used a degree tool too and the cam is spot on.

    Not quite sure. I know there are two flaps and the bottom one opens by the throttle cable but I'm pretty sure the top flap won't move unless the engine has load.

    Had it timed at 12BTDC idle at 750rpm runs perfect at idle and sounds mean when revved up but sucks when driving. I just dont know how the timing chain could be off. Chain and gears are brand new and the dots were perfectly aligned when it was put together.

    Thinking about going with a 12-235-2 for my k10 truck but dont know if that would be ok with the 2800 stall converter thats on it. 350 with aturbo 350 trans and 373 gears.     It has the hei distributor with vac. Adv. It comes out of the firewall by everything else and goes nowhere. When i bought the truck it wasnt connected to anything.
