I've had this chart for years. Comes in handy bigtime to make swaps and know what you need to do about your driveshaft length if you swap.

I'm slow, it took me a minute to figure what the **** was in your post. I was going to correct it and use a 0 in **** but then realized, if you take the space out that doesn't belong, we can say cockeyed. Oh, and I guess the filter is smarter than us and we can't Kock. Cuz even using a...

Built Ford Tough !!! If you're waiting on Triple A for a tow, it might be a minute....or two. This is actually quite common on these F450 and F550s. Dodge has a problem too, but the frame bend, usually don't break.

    700R4 Information Thread

I'd say it did come with a 700r4. That was the most common transmission by 84 and your 4YPOOB, the 4 would designate an 84 model so it's likely the OEM transmission. Even if it were a Th350, I'm 95% certain, either transmission would use the same crossmember, they just might use a different set...

    700R4 Information Thread

I've got $hit laying around I'll never use. I know it's good to someone. Some of it I do want out of my way. My main deal is, I want in the hands of someone who'll use it or needs it. I can't see scrapping it. Like these older 700r4 cores. I've known for sometime I'd never build them for anyone...

Not positive that's a Dodge Trans and Xfer case, but the meme says... I see the big accumulator on the passenger side, might even be a GM 4L60-E, but I ain't saying so.

Wow, that's just nuts. But yeah, I see what you're saying. Makes sense and now I have a justifiable reason to KEEP JUNK around. I thinik I have 2 82-84 and 1 85-86 and 3 or 4 88 up, 2 of them being 93 year models.

OK, that was it then. I was 2nd guessing. I have 2 or 3 early cores. I'll probably pull the valve bodies and trash them. If and when I do build them anymore, it's an 87 or later. Haven't built one now in about 20 years.

    700R4 Information Thread

So do you recall what the reason is to save the older valve bodies for? I know there's a hack and you need a very early vavle body to do it. Maybe it's manual lock up? It's just totally slipped my mind, but I know there's a reason why to save the older vb.

    700R4 Information Thread

Isn't it the older valve bodies needed to make a constant pressure vb? Or am I thinking of something else? I know there's a 700r4 hack that can be done and why it's wise to save the older valve bodies. Is it maybe manual lock up on the converter? My memory....

That thing is gorgeous. I would give my left nut.... In fact, they can have them both. I'd give both my nuts for that thing. I'm sure @RetroC10Sport might beat me out of it though and give up more than that for it. Nope, I never seen one other. I've seen Caddy hearses, but that appears to be a...

Rear end gear ratio change or transmission change ?

Your tach has to be wrong. It's an opinion thing, but I prefer lower gears always and go with an OD transmission to have the best of both worlds. You can always shut OD off when towing. If you want reliable, spend the money and do a 4L80-E swap. It's costly but worth it if you're keeping the...

    How about a NEW squarebody?

I'd be willing to bet, all of those GM vehicle involved in that weren't even looked over to see what was undamaged or minor damaged, all of them went to a GM auto dismantler. We have one here in OKC, G&R Auto Parts since we had a GM plant here on Southside OKC. Where all GM vehicles that could...
