    No electrical power at all

So, I tried your suggestions and unfortunately it didnt work. Traced the power back to the ignition switch and I'm thinking that's the culprit. I pulled the old switch out, and in the process the ignition rod was moved. Is there a trick for getting the ignition barrel back to the lock position...

    No electrical power at all

I've been scratching all my hair out on this one. Seems like I have a really bad ground somewhere. When I open my door, my interior light is barely on, and when I turn the key 2 clicks, it completely goes out, and there is no other noises made. Truck dosent turn over, no turn signals, buzzers...

    No Start Issue...

Hey guys. Had to take a break from swearing and throwing tools at the old girl for a few minutes, so I figured id see what you all think is going on here. Its an 87 V10 Chevy. 350 TBI. I was having a friend bump over my engine so I could set #1 cyl on TDC. He was bumping it over rather...

    Pricing out a paint job

I've got a bit of a dilemma here. My 87' v10 4x4 short box, desperately needs a paint job. The truck is solid, needs minimal body work, has no rust, and it seems like every paint shop I talk to is throwing ridiculous prices out there just to see if I'll bite. Last one was $6500 or higher...

    Rear springs, best???

I bought Dayton rear springs for my 87 V10 off of Rock Auto. I've been quite happy with the quality, and they are made in the USA. Id also recommend Triangle springs. Keep away from the Korean/ Chinese made springs/ steel.

    Stock radio problem

$150? Try about $365 plus shipping to restore a stock head set now. It is an all original 87, numbers matching V10 4x4 shortbed.

    Stock radio problem

Hey guys, I've got the original Delco am/fm tape radio in my 87' V10. It's a model # 16008160 according to the sticker on the side. I've got an issue where I'll hit a bump in the road, the radio cuts out, then I'll smack the underside of the dash and it sometimes comes back on. I've traced the...

    Leaf Spring brands

Does anyone have any reviews of aftermarket leaf springs? Dayton, General Spring? Etc? My rear leaf springs are shot on my 87 V10 4x4. My rear end is sagging almost 3" I've heard of people buying some low quality Korean springs online and wanted to stay away. I'm keeping the truck at a...

    Air ride shocks

I've got an 87 Scottsdale V10 that has quad shocks up front, adjustable air shocks in the rear that are completely shot, and rear air bags that are aftermarket? My issue is that the trucks suspension is just junk. I'm researching the best shocks to use up front, and am trying to figure out...

    New member from NH

Hey guys, just picked up the truck of my dreams last November, and just found this site. Scored an 87 Chevy Scottsdale 4x4 short bed that is 100% original from Cali. Its going to be a working restoration as it will be my daily driver for 1/2 the year. The previous owner said it was special...
