    I have an 1986 K10 California emissions crap. Does anybody know if the ECM controls the torque convertor lockup? It is the horrible year that has the electronic Carberator. Also has cruise control. thank you

    My Truck has the cs130 Alternator but i guess i wont add a ground wire seems everybody is saying I dont need one.

    I ended up ordering 6 gauge and ill use a 10 gauge fusible link. I hope that is ok once again my alternator is 105 amps the cs130. I will watch a youtube video on installing fusible links .

    Also I just invested in some nice high quality 10 Gauge gxl wire. Would it be ok to add 10 gauge with a 14 ga fusible link over to the battery while leaving my stock Alternator wire in place?

    The wire bolted to the back of the alternator is that 10ga or 12 ga .... my 1986 looks like 12 Ga???

    New crate engine oil priming/ ignition timing impact if the distributor is mis-installed

    Im actually gona be firing up my GM crate 350 as well pretty soon. I hope just using Royal purple break in oil is good enough for the flat tappet..... also im not sure what weight oil to use. some say 10-30 others say sae straight 30 cuz it protects the cam better. I dont know.

    It turns out im gonna have to use the CS130 Alternator because it came with the 350 ho turnkey engine and my SI-12 wont fit in the bracket or at least i dont think it will. I no longer have the old Alternator.

    Man it just makes me more confused lol ..... The S wire connected to the alternator stud..... I thought just connecting PT2145 and then just tightening down the original alternator stud wire from my harness was gonna work. ugh :(

    So my instructions from GM with the cs130 Alternator " use a 50ohm resistor or charge indicator lamp damage will occur...... But again my truck has a gauge. I havent bought the pigtail yet just wondering if anybody has used the Ac Delco PT2145

    So you did use it on your square body truck? I have read a lot of threads i hope some more people can chime in cause I guess if you have an idiot light you have to run a resistor......my truck has a gauge.
