Truck-Lites 4x6 leds
I seem some older posts guys thinking of using their LED headlights. My 87s got the quads. Im thinking of swapping these 4x6 leds in. Whats the word on the truck-lites today? They recently bough rigid, I've got some rigid light bars on my sxs and another truck. Very pleased.- firebird

Chrome grille guard
Looking for the chrome grill guard that bolts on the stock bumper. Just the little one that cover the middle of the grill so i can mount a couple KC lites. Im in Canada so a new one I can order or somebody on this side thats got one for sale is ideal. Ive checked summit, jegs, JC, LMC- firebird

Got a new IAC. Old one was rusted and gummed up. Run a can of combustion chamber cleaner through it. Running fine now- firebird

I was away a few days. George- Yes it is a plastic line and rubber ends. The IAC was broke right where the threads meet the main body. Just went to take it out and it broke as I was putting the wrench on it. Going to have to get the rest threaded out of the throttle body. Sent from my...- firebird

IAC was my next thing to check. I'm waiting for a buddy to check my timing while in gear. I'll clean IAC and see if it improves. What would have caused the line to blow off the MAP sensor? It wasn't under heavy acceleration or load. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- firebird

Blew the vacuum line off the MAP sensor the other day driving home and after finding and fixing it I decided I'd address my noisy rockers. I set all the valve lash to 0 then 1/2 turn with the motor running and it sounded better. I then drove the truck and idle drops down lower now when in gear...- firebird

Box to frame, rubber strips?
I was going to cut a square and a hole out of inner tube for each mounting spot but I'm not going to bother if there never was anything. I've seen plastic wear strips under mounting locations before on farm machinery it just had me thinking.- firebird

My experience is on newer JD tractors all I ever disconnect is the negative cable and theres ton of electronics to cook on those. And i guess watch your fuel tank lol- firebird

Help identify amounted of lift?? If possible
Id guess a 4" lift. Doesn't look like 6 IMO. If you got 3" blocks and another inch in spring in the front, then back might be a little higher. You should be able to find some threads on here for the proper springs in the front to maintain the same height and get rid of the blocks, lots of...- firebird

Fuel gauge not reading correct.
If it was working before something you have done has caused this. Its pretty simply to check the resistor like chengy says. Im going through a similar thing. I don't mean to hijack. Oil pressure sending unit
Okay tan wire with hard plastic body comes out of the wire loom behind the brake booster and is just laying behind the distributor. The plug that goes to the long sending unit is only two wires. I'm going to get a brass Y and screw in both sending units. The port over my engine...- firebird

Thanks for all the info!! Yes sorry i haven't verified the tan wire for the gauge sending unit yet if, I'm thinking its up top. Block is an 1983 LT9. I am thinking I will use the Y fitting for behind the distributor. This evening i can get back working on the truck- firebird

Chengy thanks that two terminal switch for the ecu/fuel pump you have above your oil filter is what's on the top of my block behind my distributor.Ill have to look tomo but the port above my fuel filter I think is just plugged. I'll have to get some pics tomo of the connector hanging connector...- firebird

Before i get off topic I still want to sort out the 2 prong sending unit. The pressure gauge is a different problem. The brass fitting I have has only one threaded hole for the sending unit. Is it supposed to be a Y for a second pressure sensor for the dash gauge? Because i have a wire...- firebird
