@Catbox I would drive the crap out of the squareback and the '54 Bell Air too.

This was my Daily until I decided to make it into a toy,

Now K10 is Daily until the toy is done, then I'll restore the K10 and make it my daily once more.

@HotRodPC That sounds like a fun time trying to explain that one away.
I learned to drive stick in my first VW a 1978 slammed Rabbit.

@dvdswan I would love to daily my truck, but the 454 is a gas hog and driving 25 miles a day would suck.

As for the squareback it will be getting my big engine, which is really not all that big at 2332cc (143 Cu In). But when you look at the numbers it is like a built big block.
It will put out 160hp all day long and that is a giant leap compared to the little '67 Bus 1500cc engine that is in there now with its 45hp stock when new. Even stock with the 1600 that came in it there was only 60hp with the most powerful type 1 engine they made.

Some VW porn for you all....
-Forged Scat 84mm Crankshaft
-5.5" Scat Forged HBeam rods
-Forged Mahle 94mm pistons with valve reliefs cut for more cc's in the chamber
-Performance Workshop Stage 2 ported heads
-This is the difference in the carbs I will be using. On the right is the stock 30mm carb that is on the car now. On the left is 1 of 2 Dellorto 45 carbs. Each butterfly is 45mm and there will be a total of 4 butterflies for the engine.

My cam is just a little one....
I will have around .560" of lift.
The exhaust I have customized to have a larger collector than what it came with. I just didn't like the little 1-3/4" opening, so I removed it and had a 2-1/4" collector welded on....

Some cool cars in this thread. I drive a 2012 Mazda 6 or a 1995 CBR1000F if it's decent outside.

Finding that I have a problem with having a single daily. They need to change every few months.
Every vehicle I had or still have served as a daily for some time. Unless it was fully broken that is.

Bah. When I'm home, I've been driving mine a minimum of 60 miles a day. Drive it!

2012 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen TDI for my 130 daily round trip. 1 fill up a week, sometimes 2, about 37 mpg, and I dont have to pay to feed my Cummins. My Burb is a toy along with my Trans Ams. They will never see daily use.

2017 Colorado Z71 4 dr or 2015 Tahoe . Some days neither gets started other days they don't get shut off. Following grandkids around to whatever sport is in season. In the space of less than 3 weeks from late December to 1st part of January we put over 1600 miles on the Colorado going to the boys wrestling matches. Just glad we are able to go and then pay the gas bill !!!

Either a 2012 mustang GT or 2003 GMC Sierra 2500hd. If I ever get my square going I'll sell the mustang and drive it primarily.
