Thought I should drop a line and say hi. Thanks for having me. Here's a little about my rig,
87 K5 Blazer, just swapped in a freshly built 355 TPI mated to a TH400/np208. Currently sitting on factory 10 bolt axles with 3.73 gears. I have a 14bff and D44 combo with 4.10 gears and rear disc conversion waiting to be installed along with crossover steering and a 52/56 spring swap. My goal is a trail capable cruiser/overlander. Got lots of work to do to it over the winter.

Welcome! Looks like you have your work cut out for you. It’s a clean looking rig, and the TPI is really cool. @bucket might like this.

Some people think they're crap cause the rpm range on them were low. They really start to lose power around 4500rpm. That doesn't make for good street machines. Another reason is they can be problematic with all the possibilities of vacuum leaks. The reason I chose to go TPI is because with the long tube runners they produce an excellent amount of low end torque. With the cam I'm running I'm looking at about 330hp at 4000rpm and 415ft torque at 1100 rpm. These numbers have not been confirmed on a dyno yet. These are the computer calculated number (obviously at the flywheel). So for me the appeal was the torque and let's face it, it just looks cool!

Lots of torque. Plus they are awesome looking. In 2 years since I put the one in my Sierra, I have had no problems.
