Hello all. I am an old square body guy from way back. In 2014 I was in the market for a old chevy. I'm a low tech guy and wanted a truck like the many i grew up and farmed with. I found a local wealth of Chevy parts. I started with a 1979 rolling chassis and 1986 sheet metal. The bed and cab came from Florida. While she was disassembled all components were replaced, repainted and reassembled. I found a 454 big block for her. But due to some unforseen problems........I ended up building a 496. She has a Muncie 465 4 speed, no air or tilt or cruise. I wanted old school. White Spock wheels, Sonic orange with white cab. She still hauls wood and pulls an occasional grain wagon. Thanks to my talented friends who this project couldn't have happened.

Oh muhhhh gawd !!! My leg just got moist. Muncie 4 speed behind a big block !!! And in a truck too !!! :waytogo:
Back in my younger days, Mid 80's and early 90's I had a street/strip truck with Muncie 4 speeds and Hurst Comp Plus shifter. Loved gear slammin'. Just did like breaking all the parts I broke. Driveshafts, rear ends, the 4 speed itself twice. Quit breaking as many parts when I went to a 64 GMC 3/4 ton with an OEM Factory Dana 60 with 4.56's and limited slip, and a much bigger driveshaft.

Ohh I jumped the gun. It's not a Muncie M21 or M22. You're right though, the SM465 is a Muncie. I was going to ask to see pics of the Muncie and the divorced Tcase.
