Going for alignment tomorrow morning. Fresh oil, oil filter, secured the brake line, mounted wheels and readjusted height. Hood hits the strut brace, so that would need to be modified before installing.

Drain plug was set as a reminder to change oil filter and add some rtv at the base of the plug.
Finished the strut tower brace. Had to move the mounting hole down a bit to get a hood that closes.

Not sure when I will get to install these, but the stock base 3rd gen brakes get overheated very fast.

It’s good to see some of these cars getting some love! Most around here are just clapped out junk setting under a tree or already gone to the crusher.

That's an ingenious way to replace the door pins with a homemade "jig" of sorts. I need to do the same thing with my 99 tahoe but haven't quite figured out how to do it on my own yet. A similar idea to this but larger may work, though :hmm: Nicely done :)

Maybe I missed something. '99 Tahoe?

PS, I used to do those pins&bushings by myself all the time :)

I have done it without any support before, but it is so much nicer to let the jack to do the holding. It works fine, but the way I am using a single jacking point, still have to keep the door from tilting. When door deattached, the legs have enough support to completely hold the door if set down

New door seal, some sound dampening, door lock actuators and window motors while it is apart. Window sweeps coming in the mail as well. A bit of a hack for the window motors, but could not resist just three holes to save a lot of time on replacing.
