I have a 78 c10 4 speed and my slip yoke broke yesterday and I am having a hard time figuring out what slip yoke I need. I do believe it is a 32 spline.

I know the 2wd SM465 is 35 spline, but are you needing the yoke that is on the driveshaft?

I am unsure of the tranny I'll I know is it is very low geared. And the slip yoke is 32 just counted. Its for the rear half of my drive shaft. Drive shaft from the tranny to the bed is fine but where it splits to the next drive shaft is what snapped on the slip yoke

Take it to a local driveline shop. They'll likely have a new replacement part cheaper than you'll believe. I upgraded mine to 1350 with a new joint installed and a t-case 1350 output yoke for around $100.

Ok, ok.... X5

If money isn't a problem, I'd do the other joints too.

Once that yoke is replaced, the prop shaft will need to be balanced too.

X8 or whatever on the driveline shop.

x-whatever go to a driveline shop. and service your u-joints. look at the cup that is still in the yoke, you were running dry with no bearings for awhile. highdesertranger
