Vaccum actuated vents????

While i had the dash pad off i noticed this.... im assuming its a vaccum actuated vent, how does it work and is it chooseable? I wish it had the older style pull vents.

I believe that was only found on AC equipped trucks. It actuated the mode door for fresh air/recirculate.

You are correct sir. Only on A/C equipped vehicles.

can these be deleted?

i too have them and would like to remove them along with many other AC parts.

Do whatever you like. I wouldn't just throw the parts away tho.

I agree there, i like the manual pull vents but i hope to put the ac back on once i rebuild the original 350 that came out of it.
