You asked, so I will give you one point of view... Don't get all pissed off at me for this...

And for those who are following this. I actually went .031 instead of. 030. Who can tell me why?

Little jabs like the question above. You paint yourself as knowing everything and nobody else having a clue about things. You are making a big effort to try and flaunt the knowledge you think you have to the people you think don't know anything. You come across as a very arrogant SOB, especially being as young as you are. A lot of people are not going to waste there time following someone like that. And it's not just in this thread, you have had that attitude sense you joined this board.

Once again, you asked, and I told one point of view. And I actually have been following this build, I just purposely choose to not comment in 99.7% of the threads I read, on any and all the forums I am a part of.

 Keep up the nice work!

Just finished reading through this thread and i gotta say you have got a great build going on. I'm guessing you used that shift kit you found at the swap meet for this new transmission?

Update, The car has been fighting me all summer in multiple areas, cooling, fuel, traction, etc...

The Factory GM 3 core ended up just not being able to keep up to well. It would constantly be around 212, which is just to much for me..
So now it has a 2 core *1" cores* Dual pass all aluminum in it, and around town it runs around 180*-195*, but on the highway I can get it down to around 160.
The factory thermal fan is gone now, theres a 14" Spahl 2500cfm fan on it, thermostatically controlled, kicks on about 175* Just idleing, the fan could get it well below 100*.

Fuel: This has been kicking my ass all summer. Spring time my electric was doing just fine, but when It actually started to warm up, it would have issues pulling fuel through the sending unit to the pump. Couldn't keep the bowls filled under throttle *3k+*. So until I get my new tank sumped, I just stuck a mechanical back on it for the time being. A few days later the car was at a secluded road with others, and it would just plain cut out*roughly 8th* and I could tell that the bowls wernt filling. Well I had just driven 50ish miles on a hot day, so I figured heat might have had a role in it. well it did it many weeks and months after.... Eventually it got so bad it would just do it driving down the highway... The pump was under warrenty, so I had them get me one.
Went to put it in and the arm/spring/pin just fell out of the block.... There was my issue. The casting around the pin broke and the arm was just floating around in the housing barely pumping fuel. Issue fixed.

Traction.
Up until now she was open, when I could plant the weight right, she would spin both, but if the bags were low or I was on a grade, just 1 mark.
This didn't help at all when the light would go and you spin half track....
So this weekend I finally went and picked up a second hand spool that will last atleast until winter *came out of a n2o car, hence the stress marks* . I'm currently gathering parts for a 9".

It launches soo much better, but its a PITA to turn now lol, it feels like theres a cob up its rear.

**Now the current trans
The sleeve in the pump is so wore out that it use to just trickle out a small stream of atf while it idled or was parked. After my spool install, I went and was testing, and I would get this smell, and some abnormal smoke.
Pull back into the drive after 8ish pulls, and I'm checking it over listening to the valvetrain and checking the trans level, then I looked under the car, and theres roughly an 18" puddle after roughly a minute.
After brake stalling @3k 8 times, and going wot. The trans fluid was so hot it probly thinned down and just poured out that sleeve.
Time for the new trans to finally go in!!!.

FMVB!!!

Catching up this thread a bit,
Engine has been blown up for about half a year.
But back in February we found the limits in the stock housing with the new traction, so i ordered a new rearend minus housing, i had a local shop do the housing work.
I got it all in the mail then assembled it
35 spline, 1200hp capable each
Full spool life
Full aluminum center section
4.56's
