I started a thread in tech discussion but realized it’s more electrical after some digging.

My truck won’t start, won’t click or anything. The dash lights are also not working but headlights and some lights work fine.

Jumping on the bumper got the dash lights to flash but that’s it. I checked connections at junction box and on starter. Visually inspected fuses and the fusible links I could find.

Electric is not my forte but I absolutely have to get this fixed and would appreciate any help.

Fusible links don't always look bad when they go. You're gonna need a multimeter on this.

Or try the neutral safety switch. I also replied to your other posting regarding this issue. I had the same symptoms with my truck awhile back.

So I don’t have a neutral safety switch and I checked all the grounds...

Also replaced the ignition switch to no avail.

Possibly the starter relay? Do you have voltage to the starter with the key in the "start" position? I have also witnessed a badly corroded positive battery cable within the protective sheath. If enough acid gets into the actual sheath it can corrode the wire enough to cause starting issues. It may be worth it to replace the positive cable off the battery to the starter.

I’ll try both of these ideas tomorrow. I really hope this truck doesn’t have electrical problems. That’s the one area I hate working on. But I gotta have transportation ASAP. It’s a long cold walk this time of year lol

I had this same problem, honestly never really found the problem but did a few things and its works now, bypassed the keyed ignition switch and put a switch on the under side of my dash, that would be my guess of what fixed the problem, got the truck running anyway.

Also pulled out my main firewall plugin, nothing broken or whatnot but there was a lot of buildup, used a wire brush and some brake clean and plugged it back in, that fixed a major power drain I had I have no idea what happened but that fixed it.
