Today i finally got around to installing my new radio. I must say though. The factory radio location sucks. Cant see it through my steering wheel.
Man, you got that right! Not to mention the curvature of the panel and PITA to get a DIN sleeve in there.

Can you imagine trying to manually tune the radio while barely being able to see it? That's what I had to do with the very old Pioneer that had been in my truck. Heck, even hitting push buttons is a hit and miss affair.

got a new battery for the '77. The old one was 5 years old but probably only had about 2k miles on it. It's surprising to me that even, though, it had some age the battery was essentially brand new.

Saw a chance to bring it up again. Don't forget to get you a battery desulfator. When I got mine I put it on a battery that would not take a charge on a standard charger. Brought it back to life...and it was 8 yrs old.

I also recondition all the neighbors lawn mower batteries. No more replacing them every 2 years.

Looks nice, but if they protrude under the bumper, watch your shins!
Those tips are being cut off the day I get it back. Plan on tucking the exhaust up in the fender behind the rear tire.
