Hi all-
Picked up this '90 Suburban V1500 SLE from my in-laws a few months ago after watching it sit for about six years. It's been in my wife's family for quite some time; my wife actually ran it into the side of her house when she was 15.
Since picking it up, it's gotten a nice tune up, new fluids, radiator, alternator, EGR, IAC, exhaust, 33" Kumho MT51 tires, front & rear brakes, Warn lockouts, new tie rods, stabilizer, grille, headlight bezels, LMC headlight upgrade, and window felts. Up next - step bars, headliner, and a 4" BDS all spring lift.
This has been a fun project to work on - I'm not very mechanically inclined, so I've learned a lot by visiting this forum. My daily driver is a 4th generation 4Runner (which I love dearly), so it's been nice to know that if I screw something up on the burb, I can roll it into the street and still get to work the next day. I really just want a good, apartment-sized SUV I can take into the woods for adventures and not worry about making it home.
