Wth is 1800 7117 ? Google isn't giving me much. Anyone know what my replacement caliper should be with that number? The guys at autozone weren't much help lol

I was expecting to find JD or JB something or other.

Popped the wheel off the passenger side and found a large R 1 stamped on the caliper.

...was a nice day to do a brake job...

If you just want an O'Reilly caliper, that would be 18-4208. That's the only one I could find. Whatcha working on?

91' Suburban. And I'm in Canada, so no O'Reilly's I'm afraid.

Said to hell with it. Bought a D44 and 14 bolt rear instead.

Ty for the fast reply though '87.

Can't wait til I break a wheel stud on my front 10 bolt and can't find a part #. Guess it'll be time to upgrade to a Dana 60 so long as it has all 16 wheel studs. Yeah, I like that idea too. :waytogo:

You can just go to hell. Don't rain on my parade. I like this guys idea better. Can't find a part, just go upgrade axles.

Lol.....D60 is an upgrade but aD44 not so much that's just a lot of extra work for a marginally stronger set up. Imho

I agree, but I'm sure he made a gear change with the swap, and upgraded the rear axle so it's all good for the better.

Nothing wrong with a 10 bolt for light to moderate use.

The hard core wheelers and rock crawlers would disagree. There's no doubt a 10 bolt and Dana 44 can be broke. But, it'll be rare that I break my 10 bolt. And when I do, since they are such junk and people just throw them away, I have 2 spares. Break an axle, stub shaft, carrier, whatever, I'll have spare parts for FREE. And not give up ground clearance to have a Dana 60 up front. Would I have a Dana 60? Hell Yes, but not at the tune of $1000 to buy one used, and another $800-$1000 to rebuild it. I'll wait til I get a deal I can't refuse on 1.

Well that's just it fella's, light to moderate trail riding and my daily driver.

Of course the 60 is badazz, ...it's also 500lbs and about $3000 after buying/rebuilding/locker/etc. Not exactly the right axle for me right now.

Picked up the axles on Saturday morning. They came with the receipts from Summit showing the fresh 4.10 gears. Axles were free, I just paid him the $600 for the new gears.

...had a bbq on Sunday and sold them to my neighbor for $1000.

So I'm $400 richer...and right back where I started from.
