I went back to tbi after numerous hours of jetting,drilling,changing metering blocks, power valves, etc. While I made it a lot better, it's hard to make a 1250 dominator completely streetable.

Regulating after is preferred, that way you have full pressure when you whack it, sometimes when they are regulated before, you'll see a dip on WOT.

Why not put a fuel pump on the side of the block that was intended for a carb in the first place and eliminate all the need for the wiring, regulators, and return lines, it worked great on my 350 and many others? The electric fuel pump is still in the tank and plumbed in I just pull the fuel through it with the new fuel pump on the side of the block.

Depends on application. Stock and mild engines can get away with it, but hotter or power adder engines won't get consistent fuel with a unregulated mech pump.

Newer blocks also do noy have provision for the mech fuel pump
